Montreal, Canada | July 26, 2021 - We are pleased to announce that since August 2020, the Parliament Center Block has entrusted their humidification needs to Neptronic. The Tower has been meticulously equipped with 41 of our top-of-the-line SKE4 electric steam humidifiers to ensure the historical building’s preservation and occupant comfort.
The Parliament Peace Tower proudly stands 98 feet tall to welcome the public into the Center Block, which houses Canada’s Senate and House of Commons.
Organized in a precise and logic layout, this monumental building is iconic for its Gothic revival style design brought to life through
intricate architectural details made of Nepean sandstone and copper roofing.
The Center Block deserved its designation as a Classified Federal Heritage Building label for its
remarkable design, but also because it is a national landmark that has long represented Canada’s
national pride and strength. Brian Eustace, an engineer liaison at O’Dell Associates
mentions:
“These [Neptronic humidifiers] were used on this generational Project to provide temporary humidification during the long construction period of up to 13 years. The main criteria, along with efficiency, capacity, and small footprint; was the ability to provide a remote mounted SDU so the module can be ducted downstream of a FCU. BACnet connection was the communication method of choice. The Client has been very satisfied with the recent ‘problem free’ start up and operation with the units.”
