Building and company owners are interested in keeping humidity levels
in the health comfort range of 35-45% RH for their office workers. The
smooth operation of electronic equipment, copy machines, computers,
the preservation of expensive wood flooring and the accumulation of
static electricity when the air is dry, are all reasons to control humidity at
a proper level. As human beings, we are far less sensitive to dry air than
we are to temperature and we commonly fail to associate the discomfort
or health problems we experience at work with low relative humidity.
