Benefits

  • Wasted energy is reduced by up to 85%. This includes steam supply consumption and wasted condensate generated by heat transfer from hot channel to air stream.
  • HD technology's energy savings will pay back the difference invested in approximately 15 months. Payback varies depending on several factors, such as application, site, energy costs and other system design variables. Please do not hesitate to contact us and we will help you calculate your payback.
  • Prevents condensate ejection on start up and during any modulating humidity demand.
  • 100% stainless steel construction (reduces maintenance)

Channel and Header

  • Double wall 304 stainless steel with encapsulated Armacell UT/Solaflex™ foam insulation.
    • Channels: 24 gauge steel with insulation of 1/4" on the side and 1/2" on the top
    • Header: 18 gauge steel with insulation of 3/8"
  • Internal design ensures that insulation avoids contact with airflow and with saturated steam.
  • Outer shells are welded in place to fully cover the insulation and protect it from wear and tear.
  • Continuous seam weld to prevent any steam leak.
  • Dispersion channels can be factory or field assembled to the header.
  • Welded bottom plate, gasket and 4 screws for leak-proof mounting of each channel on the header.
  • Channels are equally spaced over the length of the header for a better steam distribution across the width of the duct or air handler.
  • Header's internal distribution tube spans the length of the header to supply steam equally to all steam dispersion channels.

Steam Ejector Eyelets (Patent Pending)

  • 304 stainless steel
  • Internal slope returns condensate generated within the eyelet to the steam dispersion channel.
  • Steam ejection point located away from the steam dispersion grid's external sheath.
  • Eyelets are mounted on both sides of the channels to evenly distribute steam perpendicular to the airflow.
  • Rows of eyelets on opposite channels are mounted staggered to prevent face to face steam injection of adjacent channels.

Standards

  • ASTM E84 which is a flame spread and smoke development index rating
  • UL181 test requirement for mold growth
  • ASTM G21 test requirements for fungi resistance
  • ASTM G22 test requirements for bacterial resistance

Compatibility

This unique technology is compatible with the following Neptronic humidifier series for atmospheric and low pressure steam applications, and when humidifying with the HVAC system in cooling mode.

  • SKE4: Resistive Steam Humidifiers
  • SKG4: Gas Fired Humidifiers
  • SKS4: Steam to Steam Humidifiers
  • SKD: Direct Steam Injection Humidifiers

Overview

Steam Eyelet
  • Brass construction
  • The eyelets extend into the interior of the steam distribution
tubes, preventing condensed droplets from being spayed into
    the air stream
Steam dispersion tubes
  • 304 Stainless steel
  • Steam dispersion tubes are equally spaced over the length of the
header for a better steam distribution across the width of the duct or air
    handler
  • Model SDC, collapsible version for field assembly
Header
  • 304 Stainless steel
  • Continuous seam weld to prevent any steam leak
Custom Design
  • Use our Humidisoft web application to have your steam
distributor custom built to your exact specifications.

Benefits

  • Short absorption distance.
  • Custom built for the duct or AHU dimensions.
  • The vertical distributors span the duct/AHU section taking advantage of the area for more efficient diffusion of the steam into the air stream.
  • Prevents condensate ejection on start up and during any modulating humidity demand.
  • Stainless steel construction.
  • Completely welded at the factory or collapsible version for in-field assembly.

Vertical steam dispersion tubes and Header

  • Both the header and vertical steam dispersion tubes are constructed from stainless steel.
  • Continuous seam weld to prevent any steam leak.
  • Dispersion tubes can be factory or field assembled to the header.
  • Steam dispersion tubes are equally spaced over the length of the header for a better steam distribution across the width of the duct or air handler.

Steam Ejector Eyelets

  • Brass eyelets.
  • The eyelets extend into the interior of the steam distribution tubes, preventing condensed droplets from being spayed into the air stream.
  • Steam ejection point located away from the steam dispersion tubes.
  • Eyelets are mounted on both sides of the channels to evenly distribute steam perpendicular to the airflow.
  • Rows of eyelets on opposite channels are mounted staggered to prevent face to face steam injection of adjacent tubes.

S.A.M. consists of a stainless steel tube with inserted steam brass nozzles which collect dry steam from the center of the tube. The fuction of the nozzles is to prevent condensation from escaping to the duct. The accumulated condensation is channeled through the inclined steam dispersion tube, back to the humidifier or the steam trap.

Steam Distribution Systems

The S.A.M. E2 dispersion manifolds with 2 rows, 90⁰ configuration of the steam nozzles, allows significant reduction of the total length of the manifold for smaller duct size applications. The function of the nozzles is to prevent condensation from escaping to the duct. The accumulated condensation is channeled through the inclined steam dispersion tube back to the humidifier or the steam trap.

Steam Distribution Systems

Space Distribution Unit “SDU” is to be used where a ducted air distribution system is not available or in localized areas. The steam is discharged with a quiet fan blower (available in 3 sizes) directly into the area.

The SDU is available for the SKE4 and SK300 from 6-90lb/hr (2.73-41kg/hr). It can be mounted on the humidifier (factory assembled) or remotely mounted for field installation

The SDU is also available for the SKR residential series.
